Shop locally

By shopping locally, you are purchasing goods produced in your local community.

By buying locally produced foods you are cutting down on food miles. Grocery shops and supermarkets sell food that have travelled thousands of miles on boat, trucks and even airplanes. Local food doesn't create large carbon footprints and there is no need for packing facilities, shipping, or refrigeration.

Switching from supermarket shopping to local shopping takes a while to get used to. More shorter trips (on your bike) to different shops and different variety of foods. Slow food shopping journey to a better planet.
